CORBEILLES

This collection of baskets exploits the performance levels and qualities of « aviation type » birch plywood. The extreme thinness, flexibility and strength of this material enable the fabrication of objects that are highly resistant and yet delicate in appearance. The construction principle is based on the shaping of an openwork volume using plywood templates cut by laser. The curving strips are end-glued and held together and in place by grooved spacers, thus forming the main volume. The part glued create the handle.
